Music For A Tuesday: Over the Rainbow

Mama MB once told me how much she loved this version of this song, as I sit here and cry at the rest of what she told me that day... That one day she wantsd this song played at her funeral.

I'm scared we may actually have to do just that.. I hope and pray it's not anytime soon but she doesn't seem to be getting any strength what so ever. Just seems to go up and down.  No good news to report in regards to Mama MB.  She's still hanging in there. Is that the best we can look forward to?

It's not fair... But I've said that before. My heart aches for what could be and dreads what might be!

  2. I remember that song from years ago. An excellent choice. For me, it's Share The Land by the Guess Who- years ago, it played on the way to the graveyard at my baby niece's funeral.

Once again, I think it's a bit of control one has over a situation that they have no control over. All I can add is, enjoy her now.

    1. I'm doing my best :) Thanks CW. Years and years ago I said mine would be Blood Milk and Sky by White Zombie. Love it!

  3. Doria, all you can do is assure you will carry out your mama's wishes. I will add that the holidays just make it worse, and pray you and yours maintain the strength needed to carry you through this journey.

Think of what heaven must really be like, and how much better things will be for her, my Mom got so bad at the end I prayed for God to take her.

It's not uncommon for people to ask for those wishes. I have picked "To Lay Me Down," by The Grateful Dead. If I don't tell those I love that now, it won't happen.

Remember what Winnie the Pooh said, "If there ever comes a time we can't be together, keep me in your heart and I will stay there forever."

Always here for ya.....Hang in There!

    1. I know you're right Tim. I don't want to think "please just take her". I know sometimes when I see her cry in pain, I just wish. I wish it would all go away. Thanks so much Tim and I'mma keep Hanging. It's what I do best!

  4. Like Tim said this time of the year is rough on tons of people for various reasons. I also pray you will find the strength to keep smile for mama MB and help her get through this time too. I also like the song.
