Oh the decisions....

Trying to play catch up a bit, just to share a bit of news.  I met with the lady at Le Cordon Bleu and I loved the place. It really is something awesome and the adviser lady was really really helpful.

But... Ya knew there would be a but didn't you?

I've decided to shop around for schools.  It's pretty much a necessity that I'm able to get some financial aid, because frankly I'm going to lose work with this venture. I may be able to stay on part time-ish but it's going to take away from my 40 hours. I don't know what this will do to the household. Income wise....

I'm worried that with the drive and the schedule and the price tag of the famous Le Cordon Bleu that it could bog me down. I will lose not only work but quality time with Mr MB and Pokey. This scares me

The whole thing scares me really, it's odd.  So I'm going to shop schools. Check out the tech schools and see what they have to offer, how they compare to the oh so awesome Le Cordon Bleu.

What do you all think?

Think I will find something close to equal their greatness?

  1. I don't know much about it, but I'd have to say it costs nothing to look at other places too. I expect you'll know what you want once you feel you've looked at all the options.

  2. I think you should listen to gut and think if it's worth sacrificing. You just need to be happy at the end of the day. :)

  3. A little research is not a bad thing. A good informed decision is. Get informed, make a decision, and have a little faith.

  4. Look into a Pell Grant. It not only funds the education but also some cost of living money. I should have taken my own advice many moons ago!

  5. I know a chick who is a student at Le Cordon Bleu. I think for her the issue was making connections with the culinary world that seem to come in abundance with attending a school of that renown. Of course, amassing those connections comes at quite a financial cost, but, in the end, I think she's finding that it's all been worth it.

May you find the right school for you (or stumble over a pot of gold, so that you may go to Cordon Bleu)!x
