Day 120, 365 days of 2011

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011
Yay...Wednesday...  Uck!  It seems to be a crapola day today.  I reckon, ha ha, I didn't get enough sleep last night. Leave it to me to take advantage of being childless for the night and staying up a little late. Oh well it happens to the best of us.  It never fails there is always at least one person to BOTHER me at work.  Always!  Luckily Pokey came home tonight and we shall spend the rest of the week and weekend together. We're behind on her homework and her progress report tells me she bombed some math and has a "U" for her grade.  SHIT!  I'm the Mom that will toss a tantrum if they go to throwing around the "hold her back" language, because she is smarter than that. She knows her math and always does really good. Must have had an off day.  No reason to leave her behind.  Right?  Summer school will be her punishment, her teacher says she has time to make it back up.  Fingers Crossed we don't end up in a battle with teachers and administration!  Giving me a headache!

So I hope you all had a wondermus Wednesday, at least better than mine.  Tomorrow is not only Thursday, but it's payday and possible Steve B's pizza night, but I'm reconsidering being as Pokey is behind on her weekly homework assignments. I think she is passed out in there now, she's so tired now.  Getting use to the new schedule.  *grumbles*

*UPDATERS*:
They are doing an AWFUL job at keeping everyone posted as to how great-grandma is doing. As of right now all we have to go on is she is ALIVE and sitting in the hospital. She wants to go outside and smoke a cigarette and she is fussing with one of her daughters. Her blood pressure and heart rate is up, but that could be because she's fussing.  Another aunt has posted that they aren't sure her condition, they are waiting on the results of an ultrasound?  I r confused!  But my Mom tells me this great-grandmother is a smoker and the only thing she takes is an Advil a day and a multi vitamin. Holy shit batman, I hope I have her genes!  She is 91 years old!  Whewt Whewt!  Probably still shaking that head of hers though!

That's all I got for tonight!  Have an awesome Thursday!

  1. Sounds like Granny is ready to go home and take care of herself if she's fussing, at that age it's a good sign. I work with the elderly everyday, when they stop bitching is the time to start worrying ; )

    Get well soon Granny!
