Liebster Award

I was fortunate enough to be awarded the Liebster Award (I feel as though I've accepted this one before) But I think perhaps the rules were different. Which quite honestly MAKES NO SENSE TO ME!  I saw a few of my Dingleberries posting about the oh so fabulous Liebster.  I was lucky on a couple of occasions not to be selected, but my luck ran short. I'm honored actually to accept this award from the oh so adorable Ginger Blog Man.  Go check him out, you won't regret it!

Moving on to the jist of it, the rules an what-nots. Shall we?  Oh come on, ya know ya wanna!

This should be fun!  I haven't taken on any new awards lately and well I'm sure some of you are just dying to read more about MB life.  Right?

11 Things about me:  (not my favorite part of this)

1. I always have the hardest time coming up with 11 things.  Yes I just used that as one of them!
2. I'm pretty sure I spend way to much time online, blogging, facebooking.. Doing nothing.  It's what I do and I don't feel bad about it either.
3. A few weeks ago I wanted to join the culinary school. Last year I wanted to be a police lady.. And a cosmetologist.  I'm pretty sure I've no idea what I want to do!
4. I don't care for hamburger meat, it's so gross.
5. I love bacon and zombies!
6. I own like 13 pairs of Converse.. Always in the market for a new pair.
7. I'm loving Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. As well as Halloween Wars.  I love the food channel, as well as the home channel.
8. I can't wait to grow my own garden next year.
9. I have a really long and still growing list of the things I miss about the city. But the stars are so lovely here.
10. It's almost Halloween. I'm so excited. Pokey has agreed to go as a zombie with me!
11. I hate cold weather. Missing summer already!

My 11 questions to answer: Thanks GBM, some of these  are super funny!

1. What is your preferred method of birth control? (for example own face, coke douche?)  This is hilarious really!  I'm LOLing all over the living room. It's too late for BC now!
2. If you could have any super power what would it be and why?   I'm torn between the whole mind reading thing or super speed. That could be awesome!
3. What is your favourite music album of all time? Favorite music album?!  OH my, that's hard one.. Of all time? That's really hard.  So I'm going to say something Pink Floyd. I'm thinking The Wall but it's hard not to pick Dark Side of the Moon! 
4. Do redheads have souls?  hahahahahah....  WTF????!?!?!?!  I sure would like to hope they have souls, they're not that freaky are they!??!
5. If you were on death-row what would you order as your last meal?  ICE CREAM!  Big ole banana split! 
6. PC or Mac?  PC. I'm curious about the Mac though.
7. Who is the most influential person in your life and why? Myself.. I'm really the only one's advise I take and I usually don't follow through with that!
8. What is your favorite cartoon as an adult?  As an adult???  Family Guy I think
9. Do you have any regrets? Ya know I had one earlier, already forgotten what it was... But I can say I do regret not going to music midtown this year. FLO and the Machine was there! FLO AND THE MACHINE!
10. Would you like to own a monkey butler (assuming no animal rights were violated, leave me be PETA)?  Oh this is the easiest one!! But that bastard better not fling any poo in my house! 
11. How do you feel right now?  Feeling aight, worried as to what questions I'm going to ask you next. Not looking forward to that really!

Hello my dear Dingleberries,

It's time for my weekly posting of 365 postings, a day late, I know but whatevers. I'm running it through today because whatever that creative post I was working on earlier, it's gone now.  Riddled with bad feelings and an upsets stomach. Big surprise there... So where were we.  FYI I can't seem to upload these photos onto facebook anymore, wonder if the album is full or something. I'm pretty sure facebook hates me!  Has anyone friended the MB on facebook? I'm at itsamonkeybutt ... I guess is how you could search for that, ha ha.

Monday October 1st

Oh well moving along. I've recently found a show called Halloween Wars.  I'm pretty much loving it. Anyone else seen it? 

It's on one of those food channels, food is looking good these days but nothing seems like anything I want to be eating on!  Which is unfortunate! 

They're working on these super awesome pumpkins and cakes and all sorts of things. It's really awesome, or so I think anyway!!

Speaking of food stuff, we went to a Taste of South event tonight at Pokeys school. They're showcasing their lovely gardens at school and also their local farmers markets. 

I'm so happy to see the classes growing things, having a garden and compost bins and everything else. It's really awesome for me, because I love that.  Where we moved from they didn't do things like this. The school food sucks, everywhere, but at least they are attempting to teach the kids, hey food doesn't always suck and I guess really it's the parents fault for sending them to school with money to purchase said nasty school food.  Live and learn I guess.

The book of face reminded me today that the new season of Walking Dead starts in 6 days!  6 DAYS!  This is  load of shit. I'm so mad at Dish Network for not offering AMC. And  if it's not their fault then I'm so mad at AMC. It's probably best of me to just be angry at both of them, because they can't come to the middle with this little problem. Bull shit!

I so desperately want to watch it this season and they're going to mess that up for me. Way to go MB getting the worst satellite company EVER!  Always knew I didn't want the dish.

Work has been the normal, OMIGAWD please make the day end.  I was reminded today that there isn't anyone there I can talk to.  By that I mean rant and rave and piss and moan.  We're back to the trust no one days.

So as you may have noticed I forgot my picture for Friday ::facepalm:: I'm not loving that.

We were so fortunate as to do some more yard work stuff over the weekend and while moving some cement thing they had ran through the yard for the a/c drain we found this little snake. No idea what kind of snake it is and I know the picture isn't that great.

We had some sunshine for a bit on Saturday. Mr MB did scoop him up and toss him into the woods though.  Here's to hoping he/she doesn't make anymore appearances around here and I especially do not want to see Mama Snake. I hate snakes, not as much as spiders. But I hate snakes.  Speaking of spiders... There is one in the bathroom... I've lost him/her. I saw it hiding in the corner this morning and saw him/her sneak into the crack at the ceiling.. It's gone now.  I'm not loving that!!

So here I am at the end of another post. So far it's a random mess, but ya know MB has to have at least one of those in a week.

I'm working on the award post, GBM tagged me in an award last week or so and somehow I've gotten carried away and busy at work and just haven't gotten it all done.  I think I've actually done something to where I'm going to have to start over, because copy and paste came over all wrong :/ Bummer!  I did want to say many thanks for the award though and expect to see it posted this week.

Mama MB is feeling .... OK. It's required lately that she take the pain meds. I just wish they would work better. That her pain would get better. I guess maybe she has hit a point in her treatments and illness where things will be painful. They're blaming age and arthritis and the likes, but this doesn't seem possible. Usually those things are better controlled, where it's at right now.  she hurts all over and though the meds seem to help it's not going away.

Keep those thoughts and prayers coming, mine are going out into the world still for my Dear Dingleberries and their struggles.  :))

Kreativ Blogger Award

::gasps:: Another award? For little old me?  That's so sweet and how fun this should be. First I want to thank the Dingleberries that always seem to hang in there ;)  Then of course I want to thank "The Cat And The Coffee Cup" and "The Ramblings of Charlie Brown" for the awesome award they've both passed on to me. Rather than do this twice though, I'm doing it once and thanking them both! 

Now I can't think of a Kreativ bone in my body, but I guess it wasn't up to me to decide that I deserved this award and keep in mind I'm thrilled to tackle the rules of the game.  So here goes :

Rules:

I must now tell you 10 (ten) random things about the Monkey Butt and tag 6 (six) awesome bloggers like myself for this award.  Sounds like fun right? Wait until it's your turn and you have to come up with these.  Yea, lets see how much fun it is then!  :))

• I love zombies. You read that right, ZOMBIES (and vampires) that eat your brains and the likes. I think it's funny how they've evolved from slow moving brain eating to rip you apart, pull out your inards and pretty much chase you until you fall.  Call me weird, whatever. On that note though, in the event of a zombie apocalypse I'm probably going to be one of the first ones infected out of sure bad luck!  How effed up is that?
• I hate new music. The music of today.  I turn on what use to be radio stations I loved and they're all full of stupid music that makes me want to jump off very tall buildings
• I don't have much tolerance for whiny ass puny anything.  Man up world, stop pissing and moaning about how bad your life is.
• I've decided to stop bitching about how shitty my life is, how I want to be something, do something better and actually work to obtain said goals, but managed to live while doing so. No sit and piss and moan about how I wish it could be now. Note to self, shit just don't happen.  You have to make it happen.
• If I say I think I take on to much at one time and take on too many projects. I'm lying. I love the challenge.
• I manage to drop every idea I have the moment I begin to doubt my abilities. I think Im going to stop doing that
• Facebook really sucks here lately. I don't enjoy the new layout and well no one really has much of anything to say these days.
• I've decided running doesn't suck as much as it did when I smoked
• I hate when the shower curtain isn't closed.  you know what I'm talking about when you or someone else gets out from their shower and leaves it open.  Makes me CrAzAy!

So that covers my 10 (ten) random thoughts of the Monkey Butt kind. Nothing really worth a shit, but whatever. That's why it's random. Who else would come up with mindless random bullshit. Oh wait, we all did that when we accepted this blog.  yay I'm not the only one. Now the harder part, tagging 6 (six) blogger friends to tackle this as well. That will take me a minute as I'm sure the ones I tagged yesterday are still cussing me for it :)  Plus I'd hate to tag some of the same people.  Yikes!

So it's been a while since I've been given an award. Of course she passed on said award weeks ago but because my puny, whiny arse hasn't done much of anything  in the blogverse as of late, it's time for me to get to this shit and get to passing on an award, because we all know we love that!! 

This is my first Liebster Blog award and from what I read it honors relatively new bloggers with under 200 followers.  I've way under 200 followers. I wonder what Monkey Butt days will be like if I hit 200 followers.  Sounds pretty crazy if you ask me!

Versatile you say? Well by definition, because I wasn't quite sure, had to look it up, means: capable of or adapted for turning easily from one to another of various tasks, fields of endeavor, etc.: a versatile writer


So now lets get this party started, I was blessed with this awesome award from the sweet lady Starlight .  Check out her blog she is an interesting and awesome lady *hugs* Starlight! 

So here we go.. In order to accept this blog, I must A.)  Tell all of you 7 facts about me, myself and I.  Well, I'm going to make them random, because hey, no one told me not to!  And B.) I must tag 7 of you fellow bloggers to do the same.  I've tackled these obstacles, well similar, ones with other awards I've accepted.  So... Let's give this one a whirl, shall we?  And we're off, weeeee!

Fact #1....  I'm not your average American I think.  My life's list doesn't include those things they say are the American Dream. I'm not in this world, to buy a home.  To own something like that. I don't want the commitment. I don't want the responsibility. I don't want stuff breaking and me having to fix broken stuff.  What?  That doesn't sound like fun at all.  I don't want to do it. I don't think I could comfortably be in one house, for a very long time. I don't know why.  Maybe it was the constant moving around we did as children. If only I could unlock all of those locked doors in my head. The ones where I go on these instincts telling me, eh that isn't really something you want to do.  I'm sure of it!  Perhaps I've a problem with commitment?  Maybe. I'm not sure there either.  Although I am committed to being Mom?  So that doesn't really make much sense.  Just so you know, I've filed away my wanting a Golden Retriever and Electric Car with my home buying.  Just won't happen. *sighs*  I just don't want to do it. Is that so bad?

Fact #2.... I have blue eyes, but desperately wanting to be as awesome and as adorable as Ashley Greene, you all know, well maybe you know, Alice from Twilight. She is A-DORABLE. So very pretty and I love it.  To the point..  So I went out and got me some brown contacts.  The nice honey gold color, similar but not quite as awesome as the Vamps of Twilight. Is it sad that I'm hopelessly addicted to Twilight and the adorable characters of that movie. I mean damn, all that hawtness!  It just isn't fair!  So yea. I wear my brown contacts rarely anymore, since I cut off all of my hair and it isn't black anymore. I will add that the brown eyes looks really awesome with my blond hair. It confuses me as to why I ended up with blond hair, as a kid and blue eyes. Like my Dad. But my Mom has really dark eyes and dark hair. Shouldn't that be the dominant of them? Oh well though.. I told you it would be random. 

Fact #3.... Certain things in my life, like my style for instance. Has not really changed. Not too drastically anyways.  For some reason when I was younger I wore Jncos and One Stars. (reason being, THE RAWKED) Big baggy t-shirts usually with Kurt Cobains face on them. Complete with a flannel shirt and holes in my jeans! What can I say, as much as my mother HATED it at times, the way we were and the way we dressed, the weird friends we had, it was just US!  Senior year I developed a sense of hawtness.  Odd I know.  I for some reason discovered/ decided I was cuter than that. I opted then for more fitted clothes, but managed to still hang on to my love for certain things. ie.. Kurt Cobain, flannels and holey jeans.  They were just a bit tighter.  Odd.. Now.. I'm back to the baggier jeans, not terribly baggy, like get  a belt yo or anything. I've changed from One Stars, because they aren't as abundant. I have a box full of Kurt Cobain t-shirts from my childhood, with a shelf full of books and scrapbooks full of magazine pages.  It's odd the transformation I've gone through at times.  But you know, it's all just the adventure called life.  It's too bad I can't rawk the Kurt Cobain t-shirts and not feel... silly.  (that coming from someone who just admitted I'm hopelessly addicted to the adorable hawtness of Twilight) 

Fact #4.... I'm. Just.Weird.

Fact #5.... I don't show emotion, well maybe some, lets rephrase. I don't show affection . I will not openly hand out my heart. I can't wear it on my sleeve.  I'm just not the one.   (See fact #4.)  I'm not huggy like that. I can't stand PDA (Public Display of Affection) It makes me nuts to watch the movies with people all ooey and gooey.  I hate watching people being all affectionate and lovey dovey. It makes me sick.  It drives me bonkers. I prefer to just not see it.  (see fact #4)

Fact #6.... I'm totally a spaz when it comes to my daughter.  I think of the times when I was young, we would run about, all over, where ever, do anything, pretty much anywhere. Unattended. I've told my readers about my grandma and how overprotective she was.  She still follows the kids around when they are out.  It's hilarious.  Well. I catch myself being just like that. Something about the world we live in today. It's a lot different that it was when we were kids.  Or so it seems to be. Maybe it's because I'm not the kid with no worries or cares. Now I'm the mommy, but I don't remember my Mommy being all up in my shit like I am!  HA! I monitor the hell out of what she sees on television. What movies she is allowed to watch.  All of that.  Is that so wrong?  I just don't know.  I guess there is no real wrong way to do this "parenting" thing. Unless you are the crackhead parent, selling their bodies on the street and making meth in bathtubs?  Yea... Those are the bad ones...  hahaha.. That's terrible isn't it?

Fact #7....I love blogging. I love telling you all about the events of my days or whatever.  The events and mishaps. I also enjoy reading what everyone else has to say. It's nice to meet new people, well kind of, and get to know a little bit of something else sometimes. 

Well that is that.. That kind of sucked.  ha ha.  I didn't really enjoy the days it took me to come up with those 7 little, random things.  But hey I'm just kidding!  It wasn't so bad. Now I get to tag 7 people, which kind of makes it  a pain, because well I'm sure everyone else has accepted before. Or have they?  Oh well.  If I pass on the award and you've already done this, well, it's a first for me, sooo just re post your last one, or something. So lemme run through the details here!

Pat on the back dearest Starlight, you called the trooff out with my favorite food groups being Pizza and Chocolate. Yummy. I'd like to be munching on either of those right now!

So lets see...  To narrow it down and make it as painless as possible here, I love chick flicks, pretty much any and all of them.  What can I say?  I'm a chick!

4.) I honestly can't stand most all meats, I'm not a vegetarian, because I love peperoni pizza and I enjoy some bacon, yum!

and lastly, 5) I'm doubting my green thumb, my plants are not dead, as of yet, Princess aka Devil Cat is determined to kill the biggest of the 3 plants I have, but the man at Home Depot tells me if I kill these plants, I just need to go to silk plants, yes they are that hard to kill.  Poor things rarely get water and one took a nose dive off the balcony last summer. Still going strong!

So after reading a blog, by an awesome lady, she once again, passed along the "Memetastic Award".  Being one of the lucky readers, I accept such an  award, squeee! 

And we are off to the FUN! Yes!

So lets get this party started, again, shall we?  1.2.3.GO!

And on to whats next... Apparently this one is a little different, the "rules" say we have to tell you 5 things.  4 of which are LIES and 1 of course is the TRUTH!  And lucky you all get to guess which is the Truf!  Yep... Good luck with that, let me just say, this is harder than I thought it would be. Being as I'm a terribly awful liar!  Oh. Yay!

So.... Here we go..

1.  I hate hate hate chick flicks!  All of them, every single one, all the blond bimbos and crazy love stories and blah blah blah!  BARF!

2.  I just LOOOOOOOVE WINTER!  Cold weather. Oh the soft snow falling from the sky. I could run outside and make  snow angel. Oh. Yes!  Just can't wait for the snow they are calling for on Wednesday, got my snow boots ready to go!

3.  My favorite food groups are pizza and chocolate!  mmmm, good!

4.  I LOVE ALL MEATS ALSO.  LOVE EM. Nice tasty steak and some yummy good fish.  YUM!  Wait, is fish considered meat?  Hmm, someone google it and let me know!

5.  I have the greenest thumb I know of. For real. My plants love me.  They are so green and so pretty, you should see them! 

Well there, it isn't great and I'm sure maybe the most boring thing EVAR!    And well after reading through this again, it's fine!  It's more of a test, a test to see how many of you readers, followers actually pay any attention to me, being as I'm sure I've said all of these things before, in this blog o' mine! 

Now riddle me this?!!  WHICH ONE OF THESE IS ACTUALLY TRUE!  It's easy, I promise!  tee hee!

And lastly, leastly, all of that jazz. I'm posta give the award to people as well.  I've been trying to get out there and hit the "next blog" button to see what's crackin with this thing!  For real.  I've been busy today, I found quite a few I thought to be simply fabulous, however I was unable to find the "follow" button on their blog.  *shakes head* What a shame, for real.  I would love to follow it.  Oh well though, maybe I will stumble on it one day again in the future.
