Music For A Tuesday: Johnny Cash

Ya know my love for Johnny Cash, needless to say when I discovered Mama MB had Johnny Cash's version of You are My Sunshine on her list of to be played. I was more than a little happy.  They played Johnny Cash- You Are My Sunshine as they rolled Mama MB's casket from the church that day. 

Music for a Tuesday

I remember being a kid in high school and having the biggest crush on Whitey Ford.  He was the only other man on my bedroom walls.  All the other vacant spaces taken by the late, great, Kurt Cobain from Nirvana. 

I miss my posters at times. 

They never graced a wall again after being taken down from the long lost purple walls of my parents home. 

They did fit well on those walls though.

I find myself having flash back moments when I walk into Pokeys room, because she has covered her walls in posters as well, it's Justin Bieber. 

I'm actually happy to say that she has outgrown Justin Bieber (thank gawd). Though I didn't mind her having a little super star crush, I just wished the music was a little better. I finally cracked and loved it along with her, but when he released that Christmas CD, I just gave up then.

Anyways, back to this.... So I've noticed this is a Johnny Cash cover. I think I've a crush on Johnny Cash ( subconsciously of course) Enjoy this weeks song Dingleberries.  Happy Tuesday!

Music for a Tuesday

Happy Tuesday again Dingleberries.

It was a tough call for me to go with the original by Trent Reznor or this cover by Johnny Cash. I remember Trent singing it many years ago, I loved it so very much.  There are a lot of things Trent did that just can't be touched, but it was different and nice the way Johnny Cash did a nice cover. Mr. Monkey Butt is telling me that this was his last recording ever, and that because of his illness it took him like 2 weeks to finish it.  Again, awesome cover and  I'm guessing I was just in a Johnny Cash kinda mood today. 

I hope you all enjoy and for those Trent Reznor fans, as I am too, next time I'm in a Hurt kind of mood I will make sure to share his version with you, just for old times sakes.
