Day 137, 2012

Monday, May 21st

Monday already?  Well that isn't fair if you ask me, but I vowed not to complain this week. I think I've done OK so far(it's only Monday ya know). I'm taking a staycation this weekend, for the holiday. Not going anywhere, just taking some much needed brain rest from work.

Found out today we gotta get some fundage (money) together for the home purchase to go through, knew that was coming.   Gotta work on that this week, arg!   Trying not to get my hopes up too high or anything, but I'm hopeful. I'd love to be so close to Mama Monkey Butt again!

Pokey had her last Girl Scout meeting tonight.  The celebration thing (is that what it's called)?  A few girls crossed over as did some of the Boy Scouts. Pokey got 2 patches and I'm one proud Mama.  :)  Plus there are 2 more days of school, she's sticking with the good behaviour and should be rawking those new tall converse shoes this weekend.  She's super excited, did I tell you!?

She had a lot of fun with the celebration though. I think we all did!


I'm tired, like all the time here lately. I don't know what's up with that Oh wait, yes I do. It's called staying up late.  Go figure!

Day 134, 2012

Friday, May 18th

I'm going to have a color change (hair color that is) tonight. I'm excited, well a little.  I have not picked my color yet, though I'm getting a lot of votes for red.  Go figure.. I'm already close to a shade of red, well... not really.

So I will decide later when I hit the store for the color.  Yesss!  Just glad that it will be done later.

I need to pick up a basket for the front of my bike. We're going to take a trip up to one of the national parks in our state, never been before. It's out in Kennessaw, GA.  So it should be a bit of a road trip. It's pet friendly and old battle field apparently with some trails and all.  I'm planning on biking the trails, letting Maximus enjoy the outing as well (that's what the basket is for). He will get some walking time in as well, though no real running room, unless it's  a quiet day there.  We will see. If all fails then he can hit the doggie park on Sunday and get his run out!

We're also planning to hit the lake on Sunday with some awesome friends. I'm totally digging my new friend H. She's really super awesome and has two adorable girls for my girl to play with. She lives close and so far we seem to have a good bit in common and our personalities are similar.  No clashes as of yet!

Yay for weekends!  I'm hoping to get some posting done this weekend, ya know I'm taking next Friday through  Tuesday off next week. No postings for you then, but will do my best to post in advance!! If anyone wants to fill some space while I'm on vacation, let me know. Guest posts aren't something I've dabbled in before, but am wanting to give it a shot.  Let me know, kcdoe27 (at) hotmail (dot) com

Pokey has 3 days of school next week!  3!  We've made a deal, if she get an S or an E for her behavior at school, she can have the tall converse shoes she's been wanting. I'm hopeful she can keep it together. It's been a long time since I've been able to give her something she wants. We had a falling out with the last shoes she got. She was in the mode to treat any one and every one like shit. Miss Spoiled Rotten To The Bone got anything and everything she wanted.

Parenting is a real pain the arse!

Day 138, 365 days of 2011

I hear the news talking about more tornadoes. They are in Oklahoma and Kansas. Strange days we are having.  Perhaps they are advertising all of the weird weather to distract us from something else.  I fear a conspiracy developing.  ha ha.. That's just me being negative!  My thoughts go out to those lost, hurt and suffering to pick up the pieces of their lives.  Sad! 

I missed Blogger while I was on vacation and sadly I have yet to get caught up with all my reading. I've high hopes of getting it all done before the week is over!

Anti Social Much?

Day 1:

The first day of my vacation from social networking. It's 9:30 am and I feel somewhat anxious.  Holy Shit!  Who would have thought you could be addicted to socializing? I've never been apart from my cell phone.  Technically we're not apart. It's resting safely in it's pocket of the deepest darkest pits of nothingness called my bag; purse, whatever!  I'm not using my phone. I think deep down this all spawned when I was so mad at it for constantly going off and not much of it was good news. Bastard! 

I hear it beeping at times up there.  I'm actually very curious how many exciting? messages it will hold come Monday!

I'm torn at this moment if I should break down  and pull it from it's pocket.  It is after all the camera I use most of the time for my 365 Days Project! 

It's 3pm, 15 new messages, 3 missed calls. WOWZA!

Day 2:

My separation anxiety as well as my bad mood faded at the end of my rebellion.  I just couldn't stand ignoring my cell phone any longer. EPIC FAIL!  Is what I'm calling it. You're reading right, I gave in and started using the cell phone at the end of Day 1. *shakes head*

I've stayed strong and have NOT logged into Facebook, Twitter or came to visit my favorite bloggers!  I didn't even post on Twitter from the phone. 

Today the phone  hasn't made much noise.  I'm somewhat glad.  I'm taking this much needed time to devote to my reading, which I've fallen behind on.  It's safe to say, I'm all caught up. I spent much needed quality time with Pokey and out in the sun. Woooo!

Day 3:

Awesome day. Didn't think much about getting online. Spent the day in the sun while the kiddos played in the pool. I forgot it was posta be the end of the world this weekend.  Wow, it's funny how that shit didn't pan out isn't it.  I was dusting off the Zombie survival guide to take out the walking dead.  Keep dreaming dreamers. We won't go out like that!

Damn!  Another bad hair day.  Oh well!

 Holy shit it was an awful day. Perhaps I got up on the wrong side of the bed. Wait!  The bed is pushed against the wall.  That's not it!

People were only able to PISS me off today!  Maybe it's left over from yesterday; whatever.  Fuck Off People!  (not you, I heart you guys)

So I'm done... Well...Kinda... I'm going on vacation. Not a vacation from work. Not a vacation where I get to go out of town and spend money on stuff I'm dreaming about. None of that. I'm taking a vacation from my life. I'm putting my cell in it's pocket and forgetting it's there. It's for emergency only this weekend. I will not be updating my status on facebook, I will not log into twitter.  I'm not texting. I'm not taking calls, unless of course they say the daycare or schools name on them. And I will not be posting blogs this weekend.  I will miss that part mostly, I actually like logging in and babbling to you guys and gals about my goings ons!

So this shall start tomorrow! 

It's going to be weird, the people I know and care for are doubting me. I think I will do it just to say Ah ha!  Look at me, I'm the winner!  As I was saying. It's going to be a little off, but I'm tired of constantly having to remind myself to check my cell phone, make sure I'm keeping up with everything and everyone on facebook. It's a hopeless addiction of mine.  Today was so shitty I said I was done.  I'm taking the weekend and just fucking chilling. I don't want to hear it!  Whewt! 

So with that I leave you. I will make sure to take my photos this weekend and write down any ideas and or notes I may have while on 'vacation'. I hope you monkey butts have an awesome weekend and a wondermus Friday!  You can find me right here... On MONDAY! 

Day 62, 365 Days of 2011

Yesterday, oh yesterday, where have gone? 

Ha Ha. I forgot about this one? How do you forget yesterday you ask?  Well it's easy with a life and schedule like mine. I've been thinking a lot about vacation. Actually promised my daughter yesterday that I would take her to Six Flags over Ga!  How exciting, being as I haven't been since the year before she was conceived. Should be a lot of fun! 

I'm lost as to where I want to vaca. this year!  Ideas?!!
