Happy Thursday my Dingleberries..

Today I had this fabulous idea I would Google "Easter monkey"  Yes of course.. . Why wouldn't I?  Of course I expect to find monkeys all dressed up for Easter or something of that nature. Guess what?  I did find that and you aren't going to get our of  here without seeing it.. Or something like it anyway!  Of course!

OMIGAWD look how cute it is!!!  Why is it I never come up with these super cute ideas? It's monkey shit I tell ya!  

But this isn't the monkey for this weeks Monkey Butt post. Oh no no no, while Googling I was able to find more than just this adorable little fella!!  Yepparooni!

Now I come right out of the 80's and never heard of these guys growing up. Guess that's expected. I'm sure there were a lot of things I missed in the 80's and 90's growing up. You know Barbies and New Kids on The Block are far more interesting. 

Turns out, if I'm reading this right, they never released their record. They never got their album played on the radio. They did play a few gigs from what I'm reading and people loved them. 

Wonder why they never went big ... ger than they did? 

"They were so powerful that I felt hypnotized when I saw them," says Jim Lanza, who hosted a radio show in the 1980s on WCSB FM/89.3. "I'd never seen anything like them before -- and I haven't seen anything like them since."

I'm going to invest some time at some point to take a listen to some of their music. I saw a few  post of it on the you tube  Again, work gets all up in my way of doing all of my interwebbing!

Thursday's Monkey But

Good Morning Dingleberries and Happy Thursday!  It's that time of the week again where I come up with something cute and witty (as if) to say about a funny picture of some monkey I've found online.  I've actually not taken any real pictures of any real monkeys. Go figure. May be able time I take my arse to the zoo. Right? 

But to save you the random babbles of today, I will share this one, coming all the way from a dear Dingleberry all they way up in Maryland, USA.  He lives his life out loud like I do, which is probably why we get along.  So enjoy this weeks post and monkey butt.  Till next week!!

Don't mess with sock monkeys soda!  Ya heard!

Out shopping at Kroger weeks ago and what do I come across?  Jones soda, cream soda at that, with a pink wig wearing sock monkey on the package.  How cool is that?

I love some cream soda!

After doing some googling I see that Jones Soda is known for changing their packaging to all kinds of random photos and stuff. It's really quite neat.

Anyone else see anything cool on their packaging while shopping?

Thursday's Monkey 'butt'

Happy New Year again Dingeberries.  I think that is officially getting old.  So here we are, another Thursday, another monkey butt.  Well for those dedicated followers  Dingleberries of mine, thank you for hanging in there! ( I just made a funny)  Some of you may remember, I've touched on sock monkeys in a previous Thursday (actually looks like two previous posts, both Thursdays, here and here ), but this one has more to it other than random sock monkey antics. Which actually sounds like an effin awesome idea.  :)  Anyone remember those gnome commercials, where the gnome would go on vacation and send home pictures of him in random places?  Hmmm, ::light bulb::  Who has a sock monkey?  Come on Dingleberries, some of you have to have one around there somewhere?  Let me know!

So again, I'm stealing borrowing with permission from a fellow bloggers page. I've blogged him before, here he is again, JIMSMASH!!! thanks to his blogging I've found more monkeys for your viewing pleasure and he always  has something neat to blog about, go ahead, check him out, you know you want to!  :)  So without more babble from the Butt, here ya go!

Let me explain....  This guy (yea click that) submitted this monkey from Cabin Boy, the movie as his #1 pick and he was the first person to comment on JIMSMASH and his post. 

Sadly, I must admit I have not seen Cabin Boy, I do like the main actor though and perhaps I just haven't invested the time to actually sit and watch it, mind you I have heard of it and have heard good things I believe from more than one source.  So, that being said, when I'm done blogging this I'm off to add that to my New Year Resolution this year!   No spoilers please, but who has seen it and may I asked what you thought about it?

This jacket is effn awesome!  It's leather and totally has an awesome sock monkey on the back of it.

I'm pretty sure this is the kinda jacket a Monkey Butt like me should be rawking. I could wear the leather off this thing.

Happy Thursday Dingleberries, I apologize for the dark picture, but this week we're being honored with the presence of Mr. Sock Monkey.  He came to dinner at Chili's with us the other night and let me tell you he has some wonderful jokes and just look at those ears.

How could we not love him as much as Pokey does?!
