something new, 2017

Call me crazy, but I'm starting something new this year.

I've never been a hoarder before, but I've been watching a lot of it lately on television.  I get it, I have a small hoard of childrens clothes as well as toys and wipe containers. Just little things, but I see it and I'm like oh man that's overwhelming.

So my goal (we're not going to call it a resolution because that sets it up for failure) is to go ahead and work on living the minimalist life and somewhat more of a "crunchy" life as well as working on less waste around. Papa MB says we're "manufacturing trash". I don't know what's happened, I guess because I'm doing the stay at home mom thing?

We'll see and my hopes are to keep yall posted on how it's going.

So far,  2017 isn't starting off too bad.

Until next time,

-Keep hanging in there

  1. Hoarding can certainly be a problem. As I clean out my late mother's apartment I'm struck by all the things she kept over the years, things that are now my responsibility. Thank God for Goodwill.

    1. Amen to that! I've got a large wooden box of items I've kept since I was a kid. I know there are old letters and journals and the likes in there. It's going to be hard to purge all of that. Hope things are going well your way.

  2. Maybe I'm dense, but what's "the crunchy life"? If it involves eating more celery, count me out!

    1. Oh you know, cloth diapering, home schooling, eating better for you foods. Stuff like that ... I think. I spend too much time online. Had some celery the other day.. used it in turkey salad. Re-purposing that left over turkey, see.. crunchy.
