Day 213, 2012

It's  Sunday around here right now, slightly stressful because I know tomorrow is Day One of third grade for Pokey.  I'm worried that they will mess up her bus ride again, but I'm hoping they get it right. They haven't messed up since grade K.  Which was terrifying and is the source of my anguish today. But I'm hopeful they don't mess it up again!

Sunday, August 5th

So how is everyone this Sunday?  What's left of it anyways.  Hells some of my Dingleberries aren't even in this country, does that mean you're already on another day or just asleep already waiting for the next day.  It's weird how that works.

I'm still watching the Olympics. I'm not hating it. Right now!

Dreading the whole back to work tomorrow. It's going to suck.

We did the church thing with Mama and Papa Monkey Butt. I actually didn't die inside today listening to it. They managed to talk about things that didn't suck.  His message today, their homework for the week.  Love One Another.  Easy enough right? 

Started reading my book tonight, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter tonight. Maybe it's something about vampires, but so far Im digging it. 

time to wrap it up and get to bed, first day of school tomorrow.  Did I mention Pokey is super excited?  Well she is and it's should be great fun for her. So while I'm stressing at work and panicking that she won't get on her bus and end up some where in China or something, she will be learning new things and meeting new friends.  Damn, back to eating school food once a week, yuck!

Day 212, 2012

Still watching the Olympics. Forgive me but USA is kicking arse in the swimming.  Australia just won silver tonight.  Everyone is doing so great. Why the frak have I never watched the Olympics before?  It's so good. Then again some times I'd love to throw something at the television, but that's with everything.  I didn't believe it before but I can't believe Trampoline is an Olympic sport. ..... That's stupid!

Saturday, August 4th

I suceeded in not doing much today. It was lovely.  I got a lot of laundry done, some cleaning. Dropped off the recyclables at the recycle center.  Finally found Pokey's multiplication cards for 3rd grade.

3RD GRADE?!?!?! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

Mr. Monkey Butt picked up my new book for the reading club I joined with some Facebook friends.  I'm excited to read something, not to sure how good I will be at talking about the book and being in a club, but I'm excited to get some new reading on. 

We're reading Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. 

Anyone read it? Saw the movie? 

Well it's time for me to call it quits tonight, just wanted to write some words.  Have an awesome Sunday, it's off to the church with Mama and Papa Monkey Butt in the morning. They love us being there, that's all that matters!!

Day 210 and 211, 2012

I'm totally diggn the idea of making a page for my 365 posts. That's exactly what I'm doing next year.  Which will cut down my posts for the year, but that's OK.  Just means I don't have to blah blah on and on about a day in the life of Monkey Butt. I know you Dingleberries love reading about it though. 

I'm going to rant (again) for a minute. Driver at work, I don't know what his deal is. He's making me bonkers. He's to old to be acting like a child and that's all he seems to be good at this week. Needless to say I'm so glad this week is over.  I woke up this morning (Friday) smiling because I thought it was Saturday.  Then I realized it wasn't Saturday...It's Friday and I got to get up and go to work. SHIT! 

TGIF was so fitting today. It's been a week, in case you hadn't noticed.

Thursday, August 2nd

Everyone catch this Friday's Fabulous Photo?  I found that one the other day and just loved it. I think I'd planned to use it for something more of a post, but didn't.  Considering the week, I'm sure I lost my train of thought there.  It really was lovely though, I thought.

Another rant coming... I was beginning to lose hope earlier with the house purchase thing. I was so mad, all I could see was red for a few minutes there.I hate hitting a wall and stopping. Standing still with no idea which way is up or how to get out of the situation.  We're hearing today that HUD is wanting the septic inspected ::face palm:: . From what I'm hearing that means it has to be pumped first.  UGH!!  More money, money that I don't really have and especially don't want to spend on stupid shit like this.  I will just say, HUD kinda sucks.  If given the chance to buy a home, don't pick the HUD one. It's not worth it. You will get a few grey hairs out of the deal, I'm sure of it!   I'm trying not to give up, to keep up hope.  It's hard though.

Friday, August 3rd

That's a goofy picture with that cereal box sitting back there, lol. I promise I'm not eating (again). I'd actually just finished up the dishes and am hoping to sit down.  Sadly I didn't get to sit down, not until now anyway. Rhino and Bagger (the two guinea pigs) needed food.  They're such PIGS! 

We've nothing planned for tomorrow, watch some Olympics, hit the pool. Try to enjoy a day of doing nothing. One can hope anyway. The laundry needs some attention as does many a corner in the apartment. Should be a nice day to sit and do nothing. 

Wrapping it up ...  I want to say thank ya for all the awesome comments lately. I do my best to keep up with them. I'm still watching the inbox for Monkey Butts yall mights want to share as well as any Fabulous Photos for my Friday posts. I'm always up for something new!! Thursday's Monkey Butt: JoAnne Rambles

Hello my Dingleberries and welcome to this week's Monkey Butt. I know it's become our favorite part of the week, hasn't it?  Still haven't seen any butts though.  May be a bit of false advertisement huh?  So enough of my babble, this week I'm sharing one from the oh so lovely Jo-Anne over at Jo-Anne's Ramblings .  Go check her out, very awesome lady. So now I will her share her little evil Monkey, George and the good Monkey, Steve.  Enjoy!

George and Steve come from the warped mind of my youngest daughter
::J:: ........................they use to live her bedroom and George
was always plotting to do her some harm and Steve was always trying to
protect her although considering how often George managed to hurt her we
really had doubts how good Steve was.....................lol ;-)

Also George always said he was the better looking of the two of them but
really they are identical, in fact I have only ever seen one of them at
a time so I would wonder if there was only one monkey with a split
personality.................

Why what big eyes you have little evil spawn child!

George likes to drive fast cars and Steve prefers to ride red
horses...............at some point this other smaller monkey turned up
in the bedroom when asked who it was ::J:: was told by George that it
was his evil spawn but she told me that Steve said it was in fact his
son and there was nothing evil about him but when you looking into those
big eyes at times they seem evil to me.................lol

::J:: is now 23yrs old and a mother of a 4yr old son and no longer
lives here but George/Steve and the offspring still live here and are
played with my my grandchildren mostly my granddaughter ::SM:: who
is 2yrs old, ::SM::  loves the monkey who she calls "Monkey" although
::J:: has told me that "Monkey" is really "Steve".
My daughter has always had a good imagination

I'm glad to hear that George, the evil one is no longer there. That he has gone off to better trees and left Steve there to take care of the children.  What a lovely story from Jo-Anne. Many a thankies for the lady in the far away land.  I'm so glad she shared her Monkey(s) with us today. Like I've said, go check her out.  Awesome stuff!!

Day 208 and 209, 2012

Short post for tonight, it's already 10:30 and I'm tired tonight.  Was another busy day at work we're meeting Pokey's 3rd grade teacher tomorrow morning.  How exciting. I can't believe she is already in 3rd grade. How did this happen?

Still having troubles with the home purchase people, ugh.

Mama Monkey Butt says her hair has fallen out, again. I keep telling her she looks amazing with or without hair.  Why is it so hard for women to take compliments and accept them?  Sheesh!! She's feeling a lot more  like herself now that they're weening her off of those steroids.  She said they were making her feel crazy and she'd blown up with some weight.  She said that's calmed down some as well. 

Good news around right?  Now for more with the next scans. Can't wait!!
