Day 168, 2012

Thursday, June 21st

It's Thursday, pay day for me and let me just say I'm super happy about this.  I guess that's pretty normal for all of us who work and all.  Whatever.  My....financial institution .... the damn bank. fudged something up this week and aparently I have no money.  Meh, guess that's no surprise!  :)  In other news, now I can give them all my money and we'll both be happy!  Right?  Yea for a minute anyway. Then I give all the money away again. 

That's some bullshit really!

In post card news, the remaining post cards are going out tomorrow.  Ran out of money last week and wasn't able to send them out then.  that's OK though.  They will be heading your ways tomorrow!  Yays!!  For those who are not in the USofA I have no idea how long that will take, but I'm hoping they arrive before the end of the month!

The bank people called, home financing bank people... Getting the paperwork together and some more monopoly money and we should be good to go.  The contract expires like the 16th of July, so I imagine they will have it done by then. Yea.... I haven't packed a single box.  I'm really not looking forward to moving... again.  I guess that just means I won't be moving again, at least for a while, right?

We're going camping tomorrow!  Yessss!  I may be broke, but lucky me... That's what camping is all about, but I'm not pretending to be poor.  I guess I shouldn't say poor, I wouldn't know what poor means.

I saw a man, and I worried about him for a bit. He was standing on the curb at a busy intersection and he looked...well poor!  He was really wobbly though.All I could worry was that he'd get ran over or something.  Maybe he didn't!

I'm tired....  Looks like I will be away for the weekend again.  Pretty excited about that. Then again when I get excited, things fall through. Regardless, I will most likely not be blogging this weekend, but we shall see!!

Wednesday, May 23rd

last day of school for Pokey and another sick day for Pokey as well. We were able to get her things from school. but I also had to miss another day of work ::face palm::  Hate that she's sick!

Thursday, May 24th

MY sick day.  I felt like pure hell from last night, puked at around 2ish and then felt a thousand times better. It's too bad I had a slight fever, was glad when the ibuprofen kicked in.  Went to work, miserably.  Suffered through till like 3pm and then took off for the day. It was all I could stand.  :/  Camping trip planned for the weekend...  Hoping I didn't feel like shiit!  In other news,this isn' a photo of me, because I felt crappy enough to actually FORGET to take my photo for the day. I did manage to snap a few random photos and well there ya go!!

Friday, May 25th

Well hello campers!!  Taking a break from all the driving, setting up and running around.  Ewww the gnats are evil!  Evil bastards. 

Saturday, May  26th

Fun days in the land of camping. Very long hike, Mr Monkey Butt and Pokey hated it. Pretty much. They will say otherwise, but if I had a tape recorder of it, I think you would agree with me. Hiked a very very very very long way, and that's by my standards.  Po Max was pooped!  It was fun though. Later we hit up Helen, which you know I love some Helen. Got some oh so tasty fudge and headed back to camp!  Yays!

Sunday, May 27th

I'm so glad to be home. It was an awesome time, I'd say.  But the last day was just packed with stuff to be done. Packed up, hit the lake one last time and then raced back to spend time with family for the holiday weekend. Oh, so tired!

Monday, May 28th

Monday.... Memorial Day.. Another day off of work.... The pools opened today.. We spent time with awesome friends. Need I say more?!

Day 134, 2012

Friday, May 18th

I'm going to have a color change (hair color that is) tonight. I'm excited, well a little.  I have not picked my color yet, though I'm getting a lot of votes for red.  Go figure.. I'm already close to a shade of red, well... not really.

So I will decide later when I hit the store for the color.  Yesss!  Just glad that it will be done later.

I need to pick up a basket for the front of my bike. We're going to take a trip up to one of the national parks in our state, never been before. It's out in Kennessaw, GA.  So it should be a bit of a road trip. It's pet friendly and old battle field apparently with some trails and all.  I'm planning on biking the trails, letting Maximus enjoy the outing as well (that's what the basket is for). He will get some walking time in as well, though no real running room, unless it's  a quiet day there.  We will see. If all fails then he can hit the doggie park on Sunday and get his run out!

We're also planning to hit the lake on Sunday with some awesome friends. I'm totally digging my new friend H. She's really super awesome and has two adorable girls for my girl to play with. She lives close and so far we seem to have a good bit in common and our personalities are similar.  No clashes as of yet!

Yay for weekends!  I'm hoping to get some posting done this weekend, ya know I'm taking next Friday through  Tuesday off next week. No postings for you then, but will do my best to post in advance!! If anyone wants to fill some space while I'm on vacation, let me know. Guest posts aren't something I've dabbled in before, but am wanting to give it a shot.  Let me know, kcdoe27 (at) hotmail (dot) com

Pokey has 3 days of school next week!  3!  We've made a deal, if she get an S or an E for her behavior at school, she can have the tall converse shoes she's been wanting. I'm hopeful she can keep it together. It's been a long time since I've been able to give her something she wants. We had a falling out with the last shoes she got. She was in the mode to treat any one and every one like shit. Miss Spoiled Rotten To The Bone got anything and everything she wanted.

Parenting is a real pain the arse!

Well hello there Dingleberries. It's Monday and Labor Day!  It was a pretty awesome day and a very lovely weekend.  My Twitter friends may have noticed my babbles on camping.  So yes indeedy we went camping this weekend and I haven't been at all this year. It was quite awesome!  So I'm dedicating this post to my weekend and playing catchup with my 365 days posts. Should be easy enough!  :)

Yay Friday, marked for a great weekend. Plans were slightly a mess this day. I'd planned and hoped and rearranged last minute stuff because I really wanted to go camping. All day searching through the interwebs and I wasn't coming up with anywhere that would have us for the weekend. Damn state parks and their holiday minimums. really made my brain baby ache!  tee hee! With thoughts of giving up and trying to make other plans for the weekend.

Went out to dinner with two of my favorite peoples and had an awesome night after all the grumbles of the day!

Oh Saturday how I lerve thee.  We came up with a brilliant plan, slammed some bags full of clothes, hit up the storage place and loaded up the tent and sleeping bags (just in case). It was a day to escape to the lake and sit back and relax.  My parents decided to tag along, in their own car of course, we planned to stay at the campsite at the park.  Yippy! Unable to call them we made the trip to the mountains, only about an hour trip and definately worth it. Nothing like making new memories with people you love. We went to this lake quite a bit back when we were yungens and it was exciting to take the kiddos along this trip.  They lerved it and we were so lucky as to get a campsite that night!  Yesssss!

Night #1 in the tent was terribly uncomfy.  The ground was hard and the Pokey wasn't too happy about sleeping on it. We had a tent and sleeping bags but they just didn't offer the comfort we needed!

It was an awesome day though!  Spent the day in Helen and lawdy did my feets hurt. No fear Im sharing my pics with you on this one as well. How could I not?  It being so awesome and all, for those that have been following me for a while you know how much I love the small adorable town of Helen.  Its adorable Swissness buried within the GA mountains!

Happy Monday Dingleberries and a Happy Labor Day.  We heard the rain start this morning with the camping adventure, got our butts up and everything was going okay until it was time to break down the tent and BANG POW BOOM the bottom fell out of the sky and it rained and rained.  Lovely weekend we had. Made it home after a quick stop at McDs for some coffee and breakfast.  It was awesome. Went shopping with the ladies. Not really sure a Labor Day could get any better. I've got a vacation day lined up for tomorrow and nothing much to do other than ring in my Mom's birfday tomorrow. Should be awesome times!  Sleep wells folks. Hope your week is AWESOME!
