A dear friend of mine, Tim over at Blast From The Past Blowing in the Wind has blogged today that his sister has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer.

My heart flopped in my chest, plummeted to the basement of my soul as I read the news. I shed some tears for him and his family. His neighbor is also suffering cancer. Ya all know Mama MB has her battle as well.
It's insanity really, all of this cancer. Hitting so close to home, making me realized we aren't all so lucky. I thought we were, lucky. I thought to myself, Nah that won't happen to me.
Mama MB diagnosed last year and fighting, his neighbor. Tim has lost family to this monster in the past.
My heart and thoughts go out to him and his family. Virtual hugs and prayers his way. Please everyone pray for his strength and family. He's an awesome kind of guy! Trust me!

DeleteIt always seems that you don't have one person in your life with cancer that you don't have four. As always, I will be on the job here.
ReplyDeleteI always thought it was a great take on cancer when Jim Starlin did his Death Of Captain Marvel graphic novel and he said, " ..and the Skrulls call it, 'the Great Betrayal...' " After my mom died of leukemia, it was always my prayer that at final judgement, it is one of Satan's punishments.
I know CW. It seems like once it hits home, it hits big. I pray and pray no one else suffers this demon! :/
DeleteLung cancer is terrible my father had lung cancer and he was lucky the caught it when they did or he would no longer be with us he had a lung removed and chemo and raditation theapy and doing much better now but he his health will never be as good again........I will say a prayer for you friend
