Happy Thursday folks!  It was a Thursday at work.  The Mr. No call No show (no longer employed) at our place of business came in today for his last paycheck and brand new work shirts. 

The fax machine took a shit. HA

I made my runs to the courts and tag office, blah. Traffic wasn't too bad but I just wasn't feeling it today!  Go figure!  All in all it went by well and ended smoothly!

I got my bangs cut tonight, whew!  I don't know why. I was seriously stressed with having to brush them aside and keep them out of my eyes. Now they are gone. Whewt Whewt!  Thinking its time for a color change also if i can bring myself to do it!  lovely!

Happy Hump Day!  It was an easy thing to make it over this weeks hump!  As I expected I was busy busy busy all day long. Playing catchup and dealing with dummies left hanging for me to get back.  Oh. YAY!  But it was nice to be busy all day long.  How weird.  I wouldn't despise my job so much if I were busy all day. But sadly, there is only so much time you can spend on Facebook, Twitter and Blogger.  I do enjoy the time I have for it, but it tends to make the  days DRAG BY when I'm doing nothing but playing online!

I could spend all day reading my book though. If only given the chance!  I picked up my book again today while doing nothing when Pokey was out back playing.  Now to get into it and get lost!

Hey Music Midtown is coming back this fall. The tickets are STUPID expensive  and only have 55000 of them available. I don't think I will spend the 55 bucks unless someone AWESOME is performing.  Cold Play just isn't worth 55 bucks to me!  they're on sale July 16th though! Whatevs!

Day 178 & 179, 365 days of 2011

Happy 4th of July folks!

(I took a few pictures today, sadly none of them were of ME. Oops!)

Well here we have it. A nice shot of one of my favorite child hood spots. I held true to the words to myself and made sure to get out of the house and away for a bit. One of my awesome friends and I went on an adventure up a little further north of here. It was great fun and luckily we were able to find the spot I was looking for. SUCCESS!  We had fun walking through the trails, swatting bugs, (people don't forget the Off spray when you go hiking) watching for spiders and running through spider webs. Gawd I hate spiders. Luckily they stayed away until just back to the car when I walked through a spider web with the damn spider still on it. Yep spider on my hand equals arms flailing about and panic stricken ME!  ha ha. It was an awesome time. Afterwards us and our tired feets and sweaty bodies headed back to watch some television.  Introduced him to "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" movie. It's been a minute since I watched it last so it was a refreshing change. Can't wait to finish up the trilogy soon! 

All in all, other than missing my Pokey so very much that it was hard to distract myself from the loneliness I had a good 4th of July. Didn't seen ANY fireworks, though I heard a few, so it works out.  I will make up for that next year!

Well today was a vacation day. I did nothing all day.  ha ha. well that is a lie. I was semi productive and cleaned house. Dusted anything and everything in my path.  Swept the floors, vacuumed as well.  Also mopped and scrubbed some walls.  Ahhhh and that's done. Had intended on warshing my car, but sadly I didn't get to that. I did clean it out and all.  I guess it's for the best, because it rained a little bit here.

Spent the day with Mom and my niece. Mom needed a ride to see the lawyer today, so it works out I didn't have to work. All in all, was a good day. Still missin Pokey like mad, but tomorrow she will be home. Thank Gawd. I officially am not liking this year for holidays.  Ugh!  Happy Tuesday folks. Lets get ready for hump day and my short work week!  Goodnight folks!

Spent an awesome day with the family today. Always great times, laying by the pool and spending time watching the kids play in the pool.  Lovely. 

I'm spending the night indoors tonight. No going outs and watching the festivities unfold before me.  Sadly, I'm without my Pokey for this holiday.  It's times like these I  truly understand the concept of loneliness. It's strange when you're surrounded with family and friends and still manage to feel lonely.  Strange!  I'm sure it will pass. Tomorrow will be another day and I will find something to get myself into! Tomorrow and Tuesday off from work?!! I'm going to be ready to get back in the rat race and see normality.  I'm tempted to take off somewhere tomorrow and just chill.  Good idea?  I think so!

No fireworks today.  I'd originally thought I would talk myself into going to one of the neighboring towns and watch some fireworks, but after one of my ladies warned me of the mad houseness of said town.  I made sure to stay away.  Opting to go home and relax for a little while.  It worked out. Relaxing is done and now it's close to bed time.  Got a busy day planned for tomorrow, big surprise there! Pokey and I spent time out of the house this morning. Grabbed some mediocre breakfast on the way to pay storage and then luckily found my checkbooks in storage. * high fives* We went to a park around here, Pokey managed to bust her arse a few times on the rocks, needless to say, we won't be going back there. Not fun at all!

The stars are pretty tonight. It may be the only thing I missed about living out in the country. It makes me nuts not to have whatever I want nearby.  I'm enjoying the bugs and the stars though.  Well the bug noises, these damn mosquito's are just a nuisance!  

Can't have your cake and eat it too.  What a shame. I'm off to bed for tomorrows awesomeness!  Cya laters!

Friday went to hell in a hand basket pretty quick today. Not only did one of the drivers head out to Alabama this morning to pick up a car, 3 hours away, one truck didn't show up and the owner (backup) driver took off to our other body shop almost 30 minutes away, can we say BULL SHIT. I find out later from a shall remain nameless source that said No Call No Show driver did in fact quit without telling anyone except said source.  I really liked Mr No Call No Show and hate that he will no longer be with us. But at least he was smart enough to get out when he did.  Our job sucks, if  you haven't noticed. It's full of constant bull shit, every day there are potential new rules and regulations that we have to deal with.  I think most recently the straw that broke the camels back if you will is when he was late for work, missed about half a day and rather than do the right thing, of paying him for half a day, they didn't.  He made about 14 bucks that day, his commission for the only tow he did that day. That's right.  6 hours of work and make 14 bucks.  Bullshit you say?  I agree.  Sadly we all deal with the same folks and they could really give two shits less how or what we feel!  Sad isn't it?  

So here I sit, glad it's all over and glad I'm sitting at home. If only my dahlin Pokey would fall asleep so I myself can hit the bed. I'm officially an "old".  Lovely isn't it!  Tomorrow should be filled with lotsa fun. I'm hopeful to get Pokey out to the park and just spend the day with her. Am also hopeful some plans stay intact and we are able to go to a town nearby and watch some fireworks with friends. Fabulous times!  Here's to hoping tomorrow is AWESOME!  We already know Sunday will be and well we have Monday off from work and I used 1 vacation day and took Tuesday off. I'm excited.  An extra long weekend.

So with all that being said, hope everyone had a better Friday than me. I'm going to enjoy the time off and try and not think about the rings of hell awaiting my arrival on Wednesday, dom dom dom!
