Music For A Tuesday: Rehab

Happy Tuesday Dingleberries,

That extra sleep on Sunday really did a good thing for this Monkey Butt. I'm feeling, better. Didn't want to get up this morning, but that's expected. It's work... Ya know work isn't always the greatest thing one can do during the week. Wishing I was one of those lucky ones who had the week off, with pay?  Is that asking too much?  Well it would be here!  They don't like paying us most weeks.  Selfish bastards!

So it has taken me all day to decide what I will share for my musical Tuesday.  Of course I've decided to go with one of my favorite bands!

Rehab, this song is called Waho by the Hoti and the way they've put it up there looks like a Waffle House song. Perhaps there is a Waffle House located next to the hotel they're talking about.  I am not sure, I keep myself away from Northside and most of Atlanta actually... I get lost so easily ya know.  One way streets and dark alley ways, scare me.  Don't judge me!!

So Rehab came to Athens this past weekend, Saturday actually. The day before my birthday and well I'd hoped that I would be able to see them. I'd not committed though because well.. I'm prego and well something about a bar filled with ... smoke ... and booze. Sounds like a birth defect waiting to happen...

That was evil.

I do love drinking though and quit smoking a year ago this month. Look at that, I'd forgotten already!  It's been a whole year. Expect a post about that later too!!  ;)

OK OK, back to it... So like I was saying, I'd made no concrete plans to go see Rehab. I was secretly just hoping and wishing to go see the Breaking Dawn part 2. Which I did, so life was complete, for another year!

So don't tell the Rehab band that I bailed on them this year for something.... a little less tempting in the bad side!  Don't need any birth defects ya know?!

Music for a Tuesday: Rehab

For those who have been around for a while, you know how MB feels about Rehab band.  They're one of my favorites. I heard this one on the way into work this morning (didn't forget the iPod today). Thought to myself, hey mine as well share this one with my Dingleberries.

Probably one of their most popular songs, even people who aren't really familiar with the sweet sounds of Rehab band know this one.

On the book of face last week or so they created a group for support Danny Boone.  Who saw this story?  So apparently at one of their shows...  They're alleging that Danny Boone punched a man in the face.  This all happened way far over in Fargo.  Being a drunk bastard he thought it was a good  idea to interrupt the music by acting like a damn fool.    A punch in the face or not, if you act like a damn fool at any show.  You deserve to get yo arse knocked out.

It might just be me, but he should feel damn honored to have been socked in the noggin by Danny Boone. I'd  never disrespect the man or anyone else (within reason) but if I did I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to get myself knocked in the head too.

Read the story it's insane. Of course there are two sides to every story and as you imagine, Danny Boone and the Rehab fans have the complete opposite to say on the matter.  

So this beer is for you man, Keep on socking em!  Enjoy the inside of the bar!

One of the funniest songs they played at the Rehab show Saturday. I loled and loved every minute of it! I haven't seen rehab since last year sometime.  GA theater back then. It was AWESOME.  Oh what can I say,  they're always awesome!!

Monday Mashup, 2012

Well hello Dingleberries, How did MONkeyDAY treat you all today?  It went OK I'd say. Had to take off from work early again and take Pokey to the ear Dr. She lost her other tube today, happy dance , and now we're expecting the damn tube fairy to sneak in her window and leave her money.  I'd still like to slap that ear Dr of hers!  Just sayin'!

So I purchased this super awesome fraking dress from Goodwill the other day, put it on for Sunday's church going, more about that later, and the stupid thing  is apparently a Large in kids.  UGH.  It was soooo cute and I'm pretty sure if I get a sewing machine I could make that shit.

Went shopping with H, it was fun, but wasn't able to find anything I wanted to wear. It's hard to dress for something as awesome as the Rehab show, ya know?

Rehab show, Rehab show, Rehab show. It's tonight, It's tonight. Can you tell I'm excited. Finally found a shirt to mash with my shorts.  Ended up dressing pretty damn awesome if I do say so myself.  Had an awesome LMFAO shirt, in pink of course with some shorts, pink fish nets , blue kool aid socks and my Dr Martens. Yea, I rawk!

H and J picked us up for the Rehab show and L and L brought us home. We had an effn awesome time.  I just got news today that they're coming to Athens in November. Awesome sauce!

Sunday, July 22nd

It took me a lot to get out of bed, got up early though. Headache and OMG my belly was aching. Ya ever just WANT to puke?  I mean you really just NEED it?  Like you know it will make you feel better?  Yea well it didn't work for me, because I didn't have anything to puke up.  Damn !  Managed to leave on time, wanted to sleep in the car and just couldn't get it going.  Had some awful waffle for breakfast and it make me feel better. I actually think it was the two Cokes I drank and the biscuit probably helped some too. 

We went to church with Mama and Papa Monkey Butt today.  It's been a real long time since I stepped foot in a church with the intentions of listening to what they were going to say. There was a lot to be said, a lot of singing to be done and Papa Monkey Butt said they raised the roof.  It was nice to go something the parents love to do.   Totally worth it if you ask me and I actually plan on going every Sunday with them and when we move, I guess we'll go as often as they like. Nothing wrong with that.  Apparently my kid needs boundaries and we've lost those these days.

Monday, July 23rd

Well there ya have my mash up,  it's nothing new really. I'm always mashing shit up on here, aren't I?  It was a helluva weekend, drinks, friends, church and family.  Def a full page we got here tonight.  Back to the norm today though. Like  I said, Pokey lost her ear tube today and we don't have to go back there unless she has some problems. I'm happy for that but sad we didn't get to see her Dr today. Instead we saw another lady. Oh well, glad it's done.

I hope everyone had an awesome day, hoping tomorrow is better for you. Monday's are always the worst!

I think I'm also missing home a little.  Yea I'm only about an hour away or so, but whatever.  It doesn't change anything. So I couldn't find a video for this one, but enjoy what they gave us.  The music is still the same.

Friday!!  It was a day I absolutely refused to let anything get to me and it worked.  I didn't want a bad day and refused to have one.  Yays!  Had an awesome dinner date with my dahlin Pokey and awesome new guy!  It was a blast, the food was soooooo nasty!  Never do that again!

Ugh working on Saturdays is no fun at all. Just a few hours working the auction which was a flopping disaster!  But Saturday night was AWESOME!!

Saw one of my favorite bands, Rehab, again.  Twice this year now and I think I'm up to about 5 or 6 times in my lifetime.  What can I say, I lerve some Rehab!

I've a few more pictures from that night, but I hate posting pics of friends and stuff withouts permissions, so you guys just get to see the one!  It was a loverly show and for my American readers if they hit up your town, give them a shot, Rittz opened up for Rehab as well. Both bands are Ga natives and perhaps that's where my weakness hits!  Check em out, you may just lerve  it too!



Safe to say, Saturday night with my new guy and favorite cousin and her hubs was EPIC!  A night of nothing less than AWESOMENESS and we rawked the freshly rebuilt Georgia Theater until the lights came on!  Whewt!

Spent a much needed day at the pool.  New guy was out and about playing his golf games. 

Pfffft.

I may never understand that game, but you won't hear me complaining!  Pokey and I as well as my niece was able to soak up some much needed sunshine.  It was awesome, I burned a little, but it's OK.  we've plans to do it one last time this Sunday It's my Moms birfday party and  Labor Day holiday weekend. Our family enjoys throwing parties for random holidays and birfdays.  There are a  lot of us most of the time as well. Should be an awesome time. Gots my laundry done and slept like shit.  It was freezing cold in here and I woke up every couple of hours.  yuck!

Well hello Monday.  You weren't too bad of a day, I stayed busy all day long. Gathering all the paperwork and everything I need to finalize all the paperwork for the cars we just auctioned off.  Then there was all the normal tickets from the weekend as well as the phone calls and all the monies that came in the mail as well. SO much to do and almost didn't have enough time.  Made time to file everything and gather my belongings at time to go.  Awesome day, strangely enough for a Monday.  Did you notice I didn't bitch one time in this whole Monday babble?  EPIC!

Tomorrow should be even better Dingleberries, Pokey and I have a dinner date and I'm the one picking where to eat. That I will complain about because I can never make up my mind. Being indecisive pretty much sucks!

Well it was another day in paradise at work, who would have thunk it?!  It passed by relatively quick until of course about 2pm. By then I was ready to just clock out and call it a day.  It's too bad I couldn't do just that. I was stuck there, in 'paradise' for another 3 hours.  Oooof!  It ended smoothly and then sat in traffic for the next 3 hours.  AWESOME way to end a Friday huh?  Unfortunately I made the mistake of traveling down roads I know better than travel down in the event of traffic disasters!  Stupid me!  Oh well, it all ended well and the night was pretty good!  Thank goodness for that part!

Saturday was filled with fun fun fun.  I spent the day taking Mom around to all the places she wanted to go. Thrift Store shopping times 2 then of course the mall to find Dad something for Fathers Day!  Arg!  It was OK though. She found some awesome shorts and stuff for Dad, I found out later HE HATES THEM AND REFUSES TO WEAR THEM.  Dads and their wacky ways!  I've still no idea what I will get Dad for Dads Day.  I'm lost on that one. I know he mentioned he wanted something, of course I can't remember, then again he just got his Nintendo DS last weekend, video games are always a winner!

Saturday was the night of the Rehab show. I love Rehab.  They managed to put on an AWESOME show. Not that they ever fail at doing just that. They played a few songs Id not heard them play live before, that was awesome! I wore the red shoes.  So lovely!  They hurt like a sonofabitch though. I swear one day I will be good at wearing heels and rawk those bishes all night long. Sadly, I wasn't able to do so last night. Go figure. Let me just say, THEY WERE ADORABLE!  Another great night!  Except for the sex dancers on the dance floor.  *barfs*

Sunday?  Hey that's today. Sorry for my slackness over the weekend, it's really unintentional, I promise!  Stayed busy all weekend and away from the computer, strange. I guess you can only guess my frustration this morning when I logged in to my social networks only to spend an hour trying to play catch up. Needless to say I'm behind on my blogger readings and postings, obviously! Here I am now though, that's something. Today was awesome as well. Spent time by the pool soaking up some sun. Much needed rays for these cold bones of mines.  Then of course my window motor went out and now the damn thing wont roll up. Sonofahorseshit!  It poured the rain. Ugh!  Oh well,  something else to spend money on and make my baby brain ache!  Gar! 

So the weekend is over. I'm  pondering and working on other posts these days and am hopeful I can get them online.  Shall see. I got my future me letter today. Had totally forgot about that thing. But I got it anyways. It didn't say much, I haven't deleted  it because I'm trying to come up with something creative to send myself!  :)
