Should I be sad?

I'm going to talk this one out real quick, feel free to click away or close the page. I won't mind, but somethings are better left put out there. Ya know, it makes us feel better at times.  Well from what  I hear anyways!

As of lately, what with all of the life stuff happening around me. I'm noticing what the people around me, friends mainly mean to me and how I think I feel to them.

As of lately, no one talks to me anymore.  They're never around or anything like that. I think I'm just misunderstanding their absence or something. Perhaps it's because I'm always around.  Maybe I too am guilty of neglecting our friendships.  I know that I don't call or text those who I speak of. Those who will remain nameless because I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. But of these missing pieces in my life, some of them I'm willing to forgive, those who I love so dearly that it doesn't really matter to me that I'm not an important part of their lives, because i know, just as they know. Life happens and it's understandable. Perhaps I misunderstand, maybe these are the real friendships where those others are the ones who aren't really the friends.

I'm so confused....

As of right now I'm in the process of grieving those lost friendships, I'm close to ready to wash my hands of them, move on with my life and stop checking in to see if they've responded at all, ever.  I guess it's sadder really that I worry about hearing from them, that I look forward to it or something.

Oh well, guess people change. I guess it's time for me to do the same.

It took me a day or two, but I finished it.  Stay tuned for today's post, did you catch my Music For A Tuesday?

Hang in there!

Music For A Tuesday: Shugah!

There isn't a childhood memory that doesn't have MTV, back when it was actually Music Television, none of this reality show bullshit they're running now. You know, they actually played music videos, with people actually playing musical instruments. What the frak happened?  When we were kids, watching MTV was awesome, rainy days or just times when we just couldn't be outside.  This video was one of my favorites, also loved that "Jump" video of Van Halen's. We'd sit and watch the video and jump when he'd say "go ahead and jump, JUMP!"

We lived many years in Athens, GA.  It was a lovely little town, we didn't get out much, but we did spend a lot of time outside, climbing trees, playing ball, riding bikes and pine cone wars. Pine cone wars was always my favorite.

OK OK so this one is sending me down memory lane, lovely times. Back before Mama Monkey Butts epilepsy came into our lives ...

Dude there, was totally hawt to me. I had a total crush on the singer from Def Leppard and his holy  jeans, yummers.  Mind you in 1987 I was just 6 years  old.  I'm shocked really that at such a young age I was so googley eyes over any boy.  Makes sense though, my darling Pokey recently went through her first Bieber crush, started around 6 for her also.

So there ya have it, a blast from the past and a trip down Monkey Butts memory lane.  bits and pieces anyway.

Have a rawking Tuesday folks,

Hang in there!

Day 193, 2012

MONkeyDAY, July 16th
Hello it's MONkeyDAY again, not always the most pleasant of days in the week, but it's gotta be there I guess. I wonder if there is someone we can write to and perhaps have MONkeyDAY just thrown out completely!  HA!

I'm not 100% due to lack of sleep, but I'm sure that's pretty common.  Mama Monkey Butt has improved some more. She had her 2nd round of radiation today, said it went fine.  Just hung up with her and she sounds better, I think so anyway. It's hard to tell when you aren't there, but I'm hopeful.

I know I've said it, over and over and over again, I'll say it again.  You guys and gals are so very awesome, all of your kind words, thoughts, well wishings and prayers have really helped push me through this and though Mama Monkey Butt isn't reading them, I think she feels them. She keeps improving and damn it this radiation is going to kill this cancer and we can focus on the chemo again.  She's still a fighter.

Well, Po Po Maximus is over sniffing the door whining.  I shouldn't neglect him you know?!

I hope everyone has an awesome Tuesday and stay tuned for this weeks Music For a Tuesday, coming up in the morning!

Good night,

Hang in there!

Weekend post, 2012

Here we are at Sunday this week dear Dingleberries. We hit a bump this week and Mama Monkey Butt was admitted into the hospital. I'm glad they didn't send her home to get worse (possibly) I will say I'm glad that she has a caring Dr. One who actually shows some interest in his patients and does what he can to keep them going.

For those who have visited my blog over the weekend, already know we hit a bump with Mama Monkey Butts cancer battles. It's a rough time right now, I'm very very very thankful for all of the awesome comments you left me this weekend.  You guys and gals are really some of the best out there and I'm thankful for it all. I hope that you will all continue to pray for Mama Monkey Butt and my sanity at this point!

Day 189,
Thursday, July 12th

I actually manged to straight up forget this days picture. Spent the majority of the day at the Hematology office with Mama Monkey Butt and then the majority of the night in her hospital room.  Was so happy to see them get the steroids going and her regain some of herself back as the night progressed.

Day 190,
Friday July, 13th

Papa Monkey Butt wasn't too happy with me blerting out that it was Friday 13th. Still unsure why that is.  Oh well, we made it through the day, nothing went wrong. He's just a spaz.  Mama Monkey Butt did some improving, but of course she wasn't going to hear the words we were all hoping, go home. I didn't complain, I'm glad they were wanting to make sure she was well and of course they had to transport her over for her first radiation treatment.  Quick and painless, from what she tells me.  She will be going for 15 days of radiation, Monday thru Friday.  Pray for Mama Monkey Butt, we need the radiation to kill off the cancer in her brain.

Day 191,
Saturday, July 14th

No radiation for Mama Monkey Butt today, but she did show some more improvement.  You'd be amazed as to how different she was before, it was shocking really to watch her go through this weekend and constantly seeing more and more of Mama Monkey Butt surface again.  Thankful.   Still not going home though!

Day 192,
Sunday, July 15th
It's been a helluva weekend. I don't want to go through this shit again, lol.  They say you have to get worse sometimes before you can get better.  I think this is the worst and now we can get on the road to remission.  So stop throwing your words like brain cancer and terminal at me, because you're wrong and she's going to prove you wrong.  You sick bastards!

Thank each and everyone of you again, it means the world to me that you care so much to send your well wishings and prayers Mama Monkey Butts way!

With love, I won't throw poo at you today!

Hang in there!

Cancer Sucks,

Mama Monkey Butts cancer has spread, again.  They admitted her into the hospital yesterday, it's in her brain. The swelling has gone down and she's more like herself, radiation began today.

Thursday's Monkey Butt: Hazel

Gibbs

Well Happy Thursday my dear Dingleberries,

How are we this week?  Anything worth talking about? Meet anyone knew, see any monkeys?  Step in any poo, get any thrown at you?  Oh what a lovely story that might be!

So moving along, I'm sharing a lovely picture from all the way over in Northern Ireland, my dearest Hazel.  I think her and I would be the best of friends were we not what seems like a million miles away from one another.  Awes.

Hazel is doing a series of post for her part of the world, 100 things: Northern Ireland.  It's really quite fun you should check it out.  Northern Ireland really looks like the place to be.  A country who really just pretends to be small, in fact they're quite large.  From what I'm reading it's the kind of place where families spend their time doing fun things together.  Going out to the coast and climbing mountains.  How lovely would it be to visit (Northern)Ireland. It's always been on my list of must see. How about yours?

So here I'm giving you Gibbs,   her lovely adorable 'pet' she picked up from her first visit to the Belfast zoo.  Gibbs here is actually a Gibbon, which comes from the Ape family, not so much a monkey after all.  But that's OK, because he is such a doll (literally).

Gibbon are endangered species if you can believe that, they come from Asia and spend most of their lives in trees. They are very acrobatic and it's pretty damn impossible for any predator to catch them. Which doesn't make sense for them to be endangered.  Who's catching these bastards if it's pretty near impossible for them to be caught?  How does one become endangered when nothing can catch it? Guess they aren't catching their mates.  Bitches be running. These apes live for like 40 years, in Asia  they might be outliving most people.  Ha! I'm kidding, but seriously, how can they not catch a woman-ape in that long?  It's not because they're ugly, they're actually really cute if you ask me.  I mean check out the photo Hazel sent me.  They're adorable!!

So dear Ape, we hope you find you a woman ape and carry on your species. We're counting on you, can't let the monkeys rule the world... Poo flinging little bastards with tails!    Monkey's rawk you know and they always catch their women-monkeys!

A thousand thankies for Hazel for her awesome little addition to the Monkey Butt family.  Anyone else wants to add something to the page? Something new for me to blog? Please feel free. Nothing like some free shout outs ya know?  Email me, kcdoe27 (at) hotmail (dot) com.  Have an awesome Thursday!

Hang in there!

Day 188, 2012

How many of you caught this weeks What I'm Loving Wednesday?  It wasn't one of my favorites, but I stayed true to the challenge. More than I can say for that 30 day challenge I attempted in June.  Remember that?  I bombed that shit, epically!  Just saying. I actually just reminded myself to go delete that shit and carry on with life like it never happened. Awesome idea isn't it!!

I'm really quite honored and flattered at some of my new found awesome blogging friends. I'm getting so much blog love these days with my new followers, my followers who have been here for the long haul and all of your awesome comments.  I really love you guys and thank you all for reading my babbles.  It fills my time and well it's quite fun.  I do my best to stay caught up with my readings and again, thanks everyone for all the blog love.  You guys/gals rock, like for real!!

I'm seeing lightening through the blinds, though I can still hear the fella's out playing their game of soccer.  I don't know how they do it, stay up all night playing soccer.  Do they work?  I am not sure, perhaps they just stay outside and play soccer and sleep all day. Damn it I wish soccer would pay my damn bills. Lucky bastards. I hope that lightening strikes one of their arses. That will show them staying up all night while the rest of us blog our lives away and go to bed early-ish for work tomorrow!  That will show them right up won't it?

Sorry  for the crazy rant about the ugly witch earlier, I've discovered that I think they men go idiotic when she's around because she has some money.  I think maybe he thinks he can have him a shugah mama. Yea that's gross!!

Just finished a rant over the whole Susan Komen shit.  Arg... It's a ranting kind of night I guess, I'm tired now though..

Hope everyone had a smashing Wednesday, cya tomorrow!!

Hang in there!
