Day 181, 182, 2012

Happy Thursday Dingleberries,

How many of you caught today's Monkey Butt post?  Thanks for the comments on it so far.  He really is an awesome artist to be able to draw like that and seems like he lives a pretty cool blog with the things he shares.  Cool stuff.

Po Po Pokey wasn't feeling very well this morning, tugged on my heart strings and I called the boss to beg him  to let me bring her in to work with me, at least for a bit.  It worked.  we hung out at work until 12ish, only lost about 3 hours of work this week that way.  It didn't hurt quite as bad when I printed my paycheck anyways.  She's feeling better.  I'm glad!

So let's move on to what everyone is dying to hear.

Day 181
July 4th, 2012

I got my Peachtree Road Race 2012 t-shirt! 

Let me add, it was a fun race.  I wasn't quite as worried once it started about dying so much.  Which has to be a good sign. I was worried for a few minutes, because I thought I was having some of that reoccurring coughing thing.  I didn't cough once while I was running. Yays!

My aunt tells me she's so proud of my time for this race.  I can't say I finished on top or even in that good of time . There was no way I could RUN 6.2 miles.  I haven't trained AT ALL you know!  So I jogged, according to my pedometer I was only going like 3.6 mph.  Terrible I think, but whatever. 

I think I've come up with I did this as the accomplishment for quitting smoking. I actually enjoyed  it a little too. I think I want to do some more and after seeing all the kids and the wonderful experience. I'm considering putting Pokey in next year with me.  It will affect my timing, but that's OK!  It will be fun.... I think.

It really was a life altering event that I will definitely be joining again. Plus some others are coming up soon as well, some that I think Pokey would fit into.  If I can talk her into it that is!  

So there ya have it.  I did it.  You can strike through all that last will and testament thing I did, for now.  I must say that a day later, I feel really  terrible.  my legs hurt sooo bad, this is why you train for a run like that. OK OK so I don't always make the best of sense!  Also, I did something to my toe.  I think possibly I managed to stub my toe nail down under the skin... I don't know, but very painful muscles and 3 blisters and this toe nail thing is really taking it's toll on me!  lol. GO figure right?!  Like a lion with a brier or something.  UGH

Well we've gone all day with some heat from hell.  Nothing new there!  Now it's POURING the rain.  With lightening and thunder and awfulness. Just glad Pokey isn't awake (and doesn't wake up) because she will have a fit over this one.  She always does!

Girl hates some storms and if they have their way (the storms that is) it will keep me up all night.  ha ha.

So I'mma wrap this one up, with one last thing... hehe.. Enjoy!

Thursday's Monkey Butt : KW Monsters

Happy Thursday Dingleberries, 

So remember when I said I was going to use your suggestions and additions for my Thursday's Monkey Butts?  Well last week, while searching page after page on Google I stumbled upon K.W. Monster's Blog Of Evil and his super awesome Monkey Drawings.  This one was my favorite, because really who wouldn't enjoy two guns and banana trees?  I think if it were me, I'd do the same thing!  :)  Love it!

I love the way his artwork take on an evil take. Very cool!  But I think if I had an apple that big, yea I'd be holden on to it as well.  Looks delicious monkey!

I'm loving .... fireworks

It's not the 4th of July (or a night at Stone Mountains Laser show) without fireworks.  Some places go all out, others not so much. Seems this year they are doing the day before and the day of.  The rain probably made it hard tuesday nights though!!

I think next year, to celebrate American's Birfday I will make one of these. Just for shits and giggles!

Day 180, 2012

Happy Tuesday again Dingleberries,

Did everyone check out this weeks music post?  Hopefully we all enjoyed it, I thought it went well considering. 

What I'm doing today though, because I think it's morbidly funny, I will share with you my last will and testament. Just in case I manage to croak tomorrow on the Peachtree Road Race.  Nothing says being prepared and being prepared.  Let's just say those words don't really go well with me.  I'm not prepared more of the time, for much of anything! 

I, Monkey Butt, do hereby declare this my final will and testament, replacing any and all other final wishings of mine.  Being of sound body and mind, do hereby leave my collections as follows:

• I wish to leave my Nirvana Cd's and scrap bookings, t-shirts and any and all writings and or books pertaining to the band to Tim over at Blast from the Past.
• I do hereby leave my collection of Converse shoes, all 13 pairs to the first blogger who comments with the same converse shoe size of 6.
• The oh so lovely, 97 Toyota Camry, white color, called "Tina" to my first born, Pokey.
• Said old ass car that hasn't ran in 7 years, 91 Ford Mustang.  That's tough, I've always loved that car.  sadly it's just sitting, rotting,or rustin rather.  Who has the time? Or the energy? 
• MY BOOKS!  I want someone who genuinely love reading to take my books, if no one, then donate them.  Everyone should have a good read.

That pretty much wraps up that list, any and all other items of mine be divided out to whom ever wants them.

Yes you read that right, at this point, Monkey Butt doesn't have much.  But I love the things I have and I love everyone in my life, including each and every one of you!  So if I don't make it, ya'll know where I stand on the things I do own.

Music For a Tuesday: Training Time

Happy Tuesday Dingleberries,

Seems only fitting considering tomorrow  is the Peachtree Road Race. An interesting way to spend my 4th of July this year.  Must admit I've suffered through some heat before, but this will be a different way of doing so. I'm worried and excited all at the same time. It should be a lot of fun and as my uncle puts it an accomplishment anyways.  Pending I live through it. 


My aunt, uncle, cousin and his girlfriend is also participating this year. I won't be running/walking with them, but it's good to know I'm not the only crazy person in the family.  Crazy is the wrong word, cause my whole family is crazy.  Some a little more than others, but it's why we all get along  (most of us) so well together. What's the saying "Ya don't have to be crazy to work here, but it  helps"  Something like that, only it's not about work!  haha..

Weekend update, 2012

Well hello and Happy MONkeyDAY Dingleberries, I was unable to get online over the weekend, pure laziness this time.  So sorry! The good part of that is I was able to get all the laundry done.  Worked my Saturday and hung with some friends. Best of all, spent lots of time at the pool. Yays!

Saturday, June 30th

Saturday, had to work. Which always makes for some easy bucks!  Lovin that part! Unfortunately, there was one of our regulars there today who for some reason thought it was a good idea, a polite thing, to constantly remind me how much weight I've gained.  Needless to say I was depressed for the rest of the day. Went to hang with some friends and couldn't even be happy in that situation.  UGH.  My nightmare really.  I felt so bad, later, but sometimes people get depressed. What can ya do?  People are assholes at times.  Unforunately we can't change that!!

Day 178
Sunday, July 1st

Another uneventful day on the schedule, being broke sucks. But I've complained of this on more than oneoccasion, plus we all know what it's like to be broke from time to time.  Spent some time by the pool today though. It was nice and much needed, best part about the pool on weekends, there isn't anyone there.  It's weird, I guess people work on the weekends?  Weirdos :)

Monday, July 2nd

Monday already, it sucks how Monday comes along so fast. I hate that! Weekends should be longer. Shouldn't they? Today was a hecktic day at work.  The phones weren't too busy, but my desk was overflowing with shit to be done!!  I got most of it done, happy to know I've saved a little for tomorrow.  Work is hard to come by, but we're picking up. For that I am glad!!

A million thanks for a couple of you who have sent me some lovely Monkey Butt art, photos and fabulousness to share on my Monkey Butt Thursday, ideas we're getting hard to come by lately.  I was feeling like I'd exhausted my Thursdays but really didn't want to admit defeat! Glad things are picking up, blogging world and work world.  Win!  Keep sending me those ideas,  kcdoe27 (at) hotmail (dot) com. I will make sure to link to you and tell everyone how super awesome you are for lending me your awesomeness.  Relax, I haven't forgotten yours from a week or so ago Tim. I love that one and will be sharing it!

Another piece of great news today, the new face plate came in for my car stereo today. I'm stoked!  Can't wait to get out and drive around. Mr Monkey Butt tells me that due to his pot smoking days he'd originally installed the stereo wrong 6 years ago.  All 4 of my speakers work this time.  Can you imagine my excitement?  Yay for pot free Mr Monkey Butt !! 

Finally to wrap this post up, because I've some some other thangs to work on.  Wednesday is the Peachtree Road Race. It's going to be so hot. I'm scared I won't finish or something. LIke I coulod finish dead laqst or something, take me all day to go like 6 miles.  I'm worried that I might croak in the middle of the road. I'm so close to backing out. But I really don't want to :/

Tomorrow is the last day to pickup our race packets, I'm hoping my uncle can pick it up for me, that way I don't have to race down there!  ::fingers crossed::

Did any of you see this new story of the bath salt zombies?  lols.  Hilarous, man running through golf course, taking his clothes off, threatening to eat people.  This is crazay!!!
